World Book Day (Middle Section)World Book Day is the annual celebration of books and reading that takes place around the world, with the aim of promoting love for reading. 'Today's readers are tomorrow's leaders.' The importance of reading can be gauged from this very quote.
To provide a propitious environment where the young talents would think out of the box and have a great learning experience, numerous engrossing activities like bookmark making, slogan writing, poster making, literary portrait making, and book cover making were organized for the students of classes VI-VIII.Students created attractive book covers for their favorite novels, authors unleashing both their creativity as well as their love for books and reading as a habit.
It is said that books are our best friends and so our kids were found connecting with them in every way, with each one of them seen grabbing a book and getting immersed into the wonderful world of books and becoming voracious readers!
The participants of Class VIII expressed their ideas through literary portraits of William Wordsworth , Mahatma Gandhi, Sudha Murthy, Nelson Mandela etc. While class VI students shared their experience of reading various novels and thereby honing their communication skills.
