WORLD TOURISM DAY (Virtual Tour)Virtual field trips allow us to take our students where the bus can’t.They are full of fun, very engaging and very educational. There are many exciting places for the students to visit, straight from the online classroom. But to take you on a tour (virtually) while you stay home helping to fight the novel coronavirus pandemic, the teachers also joined in the expedition. Our first destination was Jaipur – the Pink City of India where we gazed in awe at the massive edifice of Hawa Mahal, situated in the busy streets of Jaipur.
Hawa Mahal also known as Wind Palace speaks the history of the Rajput Gharana built by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh in the year 1799. The teacher and the students then resumed their journey to explore the beautiful architecture of Red Fort. Situated in 255 acres, Red Fort features a mix of architectural styles such as Islamic, Hindi, Timurid, and Persian. Its massive, 2.5-km-long enclosing walls are made of red sandstone and that's where the monument got its name from.
India is the hub of historical monuments and historical landmarks. If you are a lover of ancient architecture and monuments, India is the best option to fulfill your desire.
The virtual tour took the students further to explore the Pyramids of Giza. Students were asked to view the pyramid panorama and take a look at the Sphinx as they learnt the facts about one of the ancient wonders of the world.
It was an extremely satisfying experience for one and all.
