Welcome Summer Activities (Classes II - V)Welcome Summer: A Celebration of Flavours, Fitness, and Fun-Filled Pedagames!
As part of our Welcome Summer celebrations, the school buzzed with excitement and energy today!
Class II students enjoyed a delightful fireless cooking session, where they prepared a refreshing summer drink — Sattu — which is a powdered flour-like food made from roasted grains, primarily chickpeas or Bengal gram (chana dal). It's a popular summer drink in India, often consumed as a refreshing beverage due to its cooling effect. Sattu is also a good source of protein, fiber, and other essential nutrients.
Meanwhile, Class 3 whipped up a healthy and tangy peanut chaat, exploring the joy of no-flame cooking with great enthusiasm.
At the same time, Classes 4 and 5 had a fantastic time engaging in a variety of fun-filled Pedagames, rekindling the charm of both outdoor and indoor play, along with childhood nostalgia. The students participated in Summer Hopscotch Trivia, Dog and the Bone, Summer Treasure Hunt and energetic one-minute challenges — all creatively designed to raise awareness about summer safety. Through these games, they learned important tips on how to stay cool, hydrated, and healthy during the hot months, all while enjoying the spirit of teamwork and friendly competition.
To add to the experience, students also participated in a rejuvenating yoga session, practicing calming asanas like Sheetali and Sheetkari to naturally cool the body. The day wrapped up on a joyful note with vibrant music and dance, as students celebrated the season through rhythm and movement.
It was a wonderful blend of learning, laughter, and creativity — the perfect way to welcome summer!
